Huge thanks to Nordstrom and ShopStyle for sponsoring this post
I KNOW you wanna stay comfy while looking cute this spring, so of course I’m coming through with some more comfy finds. Today I’m partnering with Nordstrom and ShopStyle to share some comfy spring outfits for casual activities, lunch with friends, and work! (Psst… spoiler alert… I found you some comfy pants for work that you can dress up and down.)
You know I love shopping at Nordstrom because they have tons of clothes that just feel great. Most of my super comfy clothes come from there! Plus, shopping at Nordstrom is extremely easy, especially online. Nordstrom offers free shipping and free return shipping on all orders so you can try things risk-free and return without much hassle. You can also order online and use the curbside pickup service. Plus, their customer service is fantastic. And, if you’re a member of The Nordy Club, you get perks, like earning points on your orders and receiving store credit for using their alterations services. Check out The Nordy Club HERE!
SIZING: I’m 5’6″ and usually S/M or 6 in clothes and 8.5 to 9 in shoes.
1. Athleisure — Striped Tee + Leggings + Black Sneakers + Denim Jacket
This is a classic combo, BUT you can make it fresh with an updated striped tee. I LOVE this tee’s vintage vibe with its black collar and faded stripes. It works really well with a lot of different bottoms and instantly freshens up your old favorite striped tee combos. It’s really soft, works well in a loose tuck, and can be knotted. Unfortunately, it is currently limited in sizing, but see if you can snag yours HERE. I wear size S.
I’m showing the tee paired with leggings for a comfy athleisure outfit. These, of course, are one of my trusty pairs of Zella leggings. If you’re new around here, Zella leggings are typically thick and have flattering compression, which holds everything a little more securely. The high, wide waistband lays flat against your stomach instead of digging into it uncomfortably.
That said, this particular pair is the Studio Lite 7/8, which is a bit thinner and lighter weight than the standard Live-In leggings. The Studio Lites are better for warmer weather. These have pockets that sit vertically and high on the hip, which I personally prefer compared to slanted pockets on the thighs. I never like when pockets stick out around my thighs and much prefer the pockets concealed by my hips. Also, my enormous phone fits in the pockets, and because they are vertical, my phone is super secure and not at risk of falling out. The Studio Lite 7/8 leggings come in LOTS of colors. I have no idea if the other colors are see-through, but since Nordstrom offers free shipping and free return shipping on all orders, it is very easy and risk-free to order them and see for yourself. Check out all the colors HERE. I wear size S.

2. Lunch With Friends — Comfy Jumpsuit
A jumpsuit is an awesome way to be put-together while being extremely comfortable. This jumpsuit is VERY soft and stretchy and super duper comfortable! The wrap portion at the top opens up (so, this works for breastfeeding), and what’s really great is there is a hook to keep the front closed and secure. It comes in olive green and black/white stripes HERE.
A similar jumpsuit (that is also breastfeeding friendly) that I own in another color is THIS one by Loveappella. It has jogger style legs instead of straighter legs like the one above, and I love it! It also has pockets. It’s a bit more expensive, but it’s a great jumpsuit with over 300 reviews and 4.2 stars. Check it out in several colors HERE.
If you need another layer, a denim jacket is ALWAYS an easy option. This is my very comfy denim jacket. If you haven’t heard me talk about it yet, it is SOFT, STRETCHY, and lightweight. If you’ve ever felt like denim jackets were stiff and annoying to wear, you’ve gotta try this one! I’m wearing the color Sweet, which unfortunately is low in stock. However, it comes back in stock regularly, so keep checking. It is also available in other washes HERE. I recommend the color Empathetic (HERE), which is a great medium wash. I sized up to M and it is still very fitted. However a plus size PMTer found they did not run small. As always, since Nordstrom offers free shipping and free return shipping on all orders, order a few sizes to try!
3. Work — Stretchy Pants + Nice Top
Last up, if you need outfit ideas for work that are comfortable on the bottom but nice on top, this is one to copy! Really, the key is extremely comfortable pants. And yep, these fit the bill.
These pants are VERY stretchy while offering a bit of shaping, and they have an elastic strip in the waistband for an extra comfy fit. You all know it’s pretty much a requirement that all my pants have a stretchy waistband, including jeans and pants! These pants are GREAT for comfy work looks, and they come in 8 colors! Check them out HERE. I wear size 4—size down; they run large.
Dress the pants up for work with a nice blouse for a super easy, polished outfit. With this combo, you’ll be ready to sit in long video meetings or head to work in person. Wherever you are, you’ll be comfy and put-together! This top is fairly thick, so it glosses over lumps and bumps instead of clinging to them. (Though, it may be a little thinner in some other prints.) However, it does run narrower through the torso, so if you have larger hips, you might want to size up. It comes in 8 prints and 5 solid colors that are perfect for spring! See them all HERE.
Also, several of you have asked for work pants that can be dressed down for casual outfits, and these are great for that! Dress down these pants by pairing them with a tee, like the striped tee from earlier, and add a denim jacket and slip-on sneakers.
You can definitely create a wardrobe that is put-together AND comfy. Check out some of these items to spruce up your spring style!
